Yes - that's the only real difference I noticed between what he said he does and what I do. I cut my own template - it was slightly larger straight after the op but now it's settled to a specific size. Indeed it was only when the stoma nurse tried to make a tiny adjustment a day or two ago that things went slightly awry. I've gone back to the original template now...
