The latest colonoscopy was all clear and they don't want to see me again for another five years!
Now - where's that tea and toast?! :-)
I've have a routine colonoscopy on Monday. Not anything anyone looks forward to but given my medical history, something that, although I've been through it several times before, is a bit-nerve-wracking.
Tomorrow is the fireworks part ( don't worry, tomorrow's SP will be discreet!) but for today, a restticted diet. I know from previous experience what's best for me. The cake is today's treat - and the jelly babies are for tomorrow!
We can beat bowel cancer!
My 6 year old iMac died on me last week and has been deemed irrepairable by the Apple Store. In itself it's not a problem - it was all backed up anyway and as you can see, I've removed the drive so I can still access it. But it did still make me think - that computer has been a "witness" to so much of my life since 2006 when I was still very ill. I still remember the delivery...
I think I'm going to write some more about this.
The sixth anniversary of my diagnosis. Thinking of those who weren't s lucky as me....
No - this isn't me. It's a guy called Adrian Dewey who did the Vatternrundan with me over the summer. Adrian was the same age as me - and like me, was recovering from cancer. Unfortunately he had a recurrence of his Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma in August and he died last week. My sympathies to his family - Adrian and I chatted on the ride a couple of times as we were amongst the oldest and slowest in our group! He was a nice guy. Cancer sucks.Up early to do an interview on BBC Radio Tees about the latest Beating Bowel Cancer campaign. Thanks to reporter Katie Cole for agreeing to be in my SP :-)
And - some five and a half years after my diagnosis, I rode The Vatternrundan! :-)
